LS swap! finally

Featured Build Threads

Got some transmission tuning issues but other than that it's been good. It absolutely rips, the 6L80e is just icing on the cake imo.

Massive update. I found king 26" bypass shock off a literal monster truck. I believe these are king 3.5s. I'll have no issue getting my 25" of travel I wanted in the rear. Also picked up a set of 3500 Chevy 64 leafs. These will get cleaned up and reached and I'll be going shackle under

LS swap! finally

HOLY SHIT

Off the the dyno this week. Trans output bushing kept walking on me and causing major leaks. Added loctite 609 and peaned it into place. So far so good now. This thing is stupid fast, beat a 392 Challenger from a 50 roll. Hopefully some dyno time can get the shifts sorted. I can feel the stock programming fighting the built trans.

In the second pic, is the crosshatch what you're referring to as peening? If so, what did you use? And how.

This is what it should look like normally, except the small dots in the aluminum. I suspect vibration was causing it to walk out.

Ahhh, the dots are the peening. That's what I didn't see before. Thanks.
