Welcome Visitor! Please take a few seconds and So, I have a '94 Ford Ranger 4.0 4×4 Pick-up truck.
We keep having to put in new clutches as we do a lot of heavy load hauling and I guess we didn't get a heavy duty enough clutch. However, since our most recent clut h replacement I'd say about 2 days after picking it up its been doingbthis thing where it bogs down and wants to die. It is also idling at times higher than usual at around 1.5rpms instead of its usual .5rpms. There have been random times when the bogging down is do much in affect that when you push the peddle for more gas which used to push past the bogging down it would at times instead almost do nothing until releasing the gas peddle but it wouldn't do enough to keep it running. We've tried changing out the fuel filter, coil pack, plugs and wires and we're completely at a loss of what the issue could be. However, the issue is much worse now because the truck turns over and starts but immediately shut off now making it inoperable. We're thinking it could be a fuel pump but that's a guess and it could be something in the tank or a sensor or idk. If anyone can help to point us in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.
