TRS but for grand cherokee

Since we’re talking Jeeps, here’s a little something I came across today...

Well to be fair, the ranger isn't exactly a cow either.

On another note, the Cherokees weren't that great either LOL. The newer ones had electrical gremlins just as the Grand Cherokees did.

Their 4WD systems are awesome (quadra-trac, quadra-drive, selec-trac) but the rest of the vehicle isn't that great around it. I'd love a quadra-drive equipped Grand Cherokee WJ, but not with all the electrical issues and the 4.7L V8 issues that come with it.

What Chrysler product doesn’t have electrical problems? :icon_rofl:

But to be fair every manufacturer has it's inherent issues. I mean come on, Ford made the 2.9 nuff said...

Honestly the Broncos were the same LOL, anything that the top comes off and doors come off will have that same aerodynamic as the Wrangler LOL. Trucks in general aren't exactly aerodynamic either, they're bricks on wheels with a nice wind catch (bed) as an anchor.

Ford had a terrible problem with light switches catching on fire in the 80's...

Fire produces light so I would argue that the switches did in fact work...

Although I haven’t really populated other auto brand web forums all that much over the years, I have to say that TRS is the best in existence. Bronco II.org was great too, but alas, it’s no more due to unfortunate circumstances.

As far as Jeep’s go... yeah, they, along with other Chrysler products, typically suck. I have a few friends with them and they are broken as much as my choptop (which seems to have a peculiar appetite for motors and front axle shafts that none of my other Ford’s have).

Looks good to me. :dntknw:

I thought it was the ignition switches that caught fire, at least that's the recall I remember.

I agree. The only vehicle oriented forum I was ever on that came close to TRS was HondaSUV. But they no longer exist. Forums of this quality are a rare thing.

I thought it was the cruise control deactivation switch on the master cylinder.

On newer ones. Like first Gen rangers and foxbodies had bad light switches.

I also seem to recall something about voltage regulators....

G1 externally regulated alternators would catch on fire. But, if the regulator wasn’t replaced with the alternator then the regulator would catch on fire....

Point is... all vehicles have problems but Chrysler products seem to have big issues with electronics and fires... I seem to recall several dodge rams catching on fire in their driveways because the heated/power seats stay powered when the key is off.
