I've always used a 3/8 extension to get the pilot bearing out instead of a bolt. I put electrical tape on it until it makes a tight seal then hit it with a hammer.
Well, been out of town since the 2nd, just back last night. I got the bearing out, but i had to rent a puller. I tried all the home remedy trick but none of them worked, puller pulled it out in less than 5 minutes. got the new one put in along with the flywheel, clutch and pressure plate. Tomorrow the tranny get bolted back to the engine, and put back in the truck. The engine needs some washers put on the driver side motor mount to level it out. Also got the oil pan, timing cover and water pump on.
