Twister 85 B2 Build

Should have the measurement by tonight.

I will say the way mine is clocked the highest point is where it hooks to the trans. IIRC

Got them, at least what I could before work.

There's two inches clearance between my floor and top of my case.

And the case is 9 inches wide in the middle.

The zip ties are holding my speedo cable in place due to the hold down bolt got broken into the case but I didn't have to lengthen my Speedo cable either. If your speedo read slow before(mine read 4 slow with stock tires) this one corrected that. But since I have larger tires it read 8 slow after I put them on and the fullsize xfercase put me back to where I was....stock reading.

Its an np205 :D

Do the dual stick mid to it, looks very easy to do.

And I want one of those, what did you give for it?

O.O

Nevermind, just get it in the B2 and get it on the road.

Got the bw4406 pulled out, engine and tranny pulled back out and made a template for trimming the mount surface in the rear of the transmission.

Took some measurements

Bw4406:
Width= 24.5 inch
Length = 25 inch
Top to bottom = 14 inch

Np205:
Width = 17 inch
Length = 14 inch
Top to bottom = 8 inch

So it is far smaller, just twice the price.

Gasket sets come with the cut out (or the perforation to take it out of the gasket) for the section you are going to cut out. They make great templates too.

Heres what mine looks like, already had it cut out from the factory.

I'm hoping that's what mine looks like when I cut it, just a little nervous about cutting it. No one has the gasket kit so I had to make my own.

Don't forget you have to make a bracket to support that monstrous thing, they are very unkind to aluminum transmissions. :icon_thumby:

Of course about where that bracket would go on mine is where I have my fuel pump...

Yeah that's what I've been reading, there are a couple companies that make a support bracket that bolts on the back plate. I'm and going to have to find someone with a welder and skills to make me some kind of brace.

Got my transmission notched today. I tried using a cut off wheel but it got caught on the transmission and shattered :annoyed:. So i was stuck using a grinding wheel, which, with a lot of wd-40 didn't take long. The pics make it look really rough, but it looks a lot better in person. I didn't have anyone to help me move the t case to see if i took enough off as the damn thing weighs 150+lbs :shok:

Also picked this up, got it all setup, just have to get my brother to buy the gas :yahoo::icon_welder:

Just realized that you have an aluminum spacer and I have a steel one.

150lbs isn't bad, you just wont need to add weight in the winter now.
