Twister 85 B2 Build

I didn't use thread sealant, instead used anti seize on ALL my bolts and the blue sealant for the gaskets that come in contact with the cooling system.

Yeah I need to buy some sealer, I was just at autozone forgot to get some :(. On to the power steering line for the explorer FEAD. I bought the line, you said I need a crush washer. Does it go on the the pump side or the steering box side? It came with what looks like the washer on the pump side.

Mine did not come with that washer, you should be good to go.

Using a slightly longet stainless steel bolt I am able to bolt up the thernostat housing just fine. Calling a machinr shop tomorrow about the water pymp bolt, after I get that out I hopefully will be able to get a lot more work done.

Is this what I want to use on the water pump bolts?

Haven't got much done, my dads truck is on strike lately so I've been busy messing with that.

I am taking the engine to the machine shop tomorrow or Saturday. I did get the heater housing modded to fit around the engine. I accidently burned a few small holes in it so I found some metal tape wrbhad laying around and cover it up. I think it turned out better than I thought it would.

I burnt a big hole in mine, used an oil filter to help shape it.

To patch it, I used foam weather strip tape, cheap quick solution that has been working food at patching holes, around the shift boots, etc... at least keep as much of the heat out of the cab as I can.

Took engine to machine shop today, hope to have it back tomorrow.

I asked the exact same question the other day and this what RangerSVT on here told me...

" The efi setup will work, its the wiring harness and ECU that won't. You can get a 95 f series harness and ECU (which is HO) and run that, or a mustang harness/ECU, or ex 5.0 with a couple more parts..."

This is assuming your engine is an HO engine.

I'm going to be building a 302 one day, all new internals, etc... so I'm going to get a HO intake if I do FI but I'm aiming for 325hp so I may go carb or see how much a custom tune will be for the FI.

But if you are wanting to do FI while you can, then like what was quoted above saying what you will need, then go for it.

I plan to stay carbed for a little bit, the only reason I thought about it is because it is $10 for both intakes, fuel rail and injectors.

...there's a guy on KC Craigslist, selling a propane kit pretty cheap.

I'm just saying.......

Its a good deal but I wonder what shipping would cost.

Got my engine back from the machine shop today, guy i took it to did an awesome job, it seem like he was able to get the old bolt out, and it seems he chased all the other holes for me. I got the timing set replaced, i need to get bolts for the water pump, i bought some at ace but they don't sell them in 1/4" increments so they are all too long.

Sweet! Get now that sucker put together!
I dropped my long block off at a shop too. I'm excited to get it back in a couple weeks!
