title cost will vary from state to state, give the PA DMV a look... they will probably have what you want online.

If the owner has lost the title to it, it will probably cost him well more than a hundred bucks to replace it....

this is usually why most people sell older "project" cars that have no titles as parts cars, because it just isn't worth the expense of getting it retitled...

actually not too bad... 22 bucks. but the owner will have to do that, I don't think you as the buyer can...

but if you are going to part it out, you wont' need it... when you send the rest to the scrap yard, just cut it up into pieces, and it will no longer be a car , it will be scrap metal :p

Hmm, I'd love to have one of them in decent condition with that PTO... if it was 540 it could come in handy on the farm, could even run an auger off it if you had to.

I found another truck for $50, but I have no idea about it, its a Dodge Durango, very nice interior, extrerior has a few small road-dents, but the title is clear.

The engine is starting to overheat, and has no compression, so a v8 swap will be needed. Should not cost me more than $200. Then its road legal. =P literally.
Its in the same town, Pottstown, PA.

I know Jason has one of these, as well as a similar year Dakota, and these are reliable, but since the engine will be replaced, I think it will be a better vehicle for a cheaper price than another truck will be.

I can get both, part out the Jeep to pay for the Durango.

Since I am about 80% sure about getting the Jeep, does anyone want parts?

$50? well worth it if its $50. but i dont think they would pay to get it on ebay to sell it for $50. and you could do a frame and motor swap in a day to get your truck on the road? and that jeep would be worth it for parts, but not as a driver.... not unless you put about $10,000 into it.

To have a vehicle titled in YOUR name, you need to be a legal adult in your state... the only way to have your name on the title is if a parent or guardian is also on there.

For 50 bucks, you oughta buy that durango, really cheap, and it has a great interior and pretty good exterior, you could easily make some money on that deal...

You ain't gonna get a engine for the Durango for $200... my $150 302 I got for my Ranger needed completely rebuilt. It is going to at least be over $500 for something that new, more if you want any kind of a warrentee on it.

The tub looks solid on the jeep, those engines are simple to work on. There is nothing to the interior except the seats... and I would rip them out of the $50 Durango before I junked it. :D

IMO the Jeep would be cheaper to get on the road than the Durango, obviously not nearly as nice to drive.

My grandparents have a 2000ish Durango, I royally hate working on it, it is just put together stupidly. I don't know if it would be worth putting a new serpentine belt on...

Buy both, and use most of the interior from the Durango for the jeep :yahoo:
