VW diesel engines

I read this morning that VW owners are having a hard time reselling their cars, I'm curious , which diesel engines would work in our ranger should these owners/dealers have to scrap the vehicles. Seems like a great opportunity to do a diesel swap in the next year or two...whaddya think ?

I have the same thought. But I'm going to have to wait until they start hitting the wrecking yard cost wise.

I guess we'll have to wait and see the US gubment''s gonna do , that alone will take while.
Funny how there is a huge market for tuners in the aftermarket for diesels and gas vehicles , but they are OK .

i am waiting to see who else gets caught.


do people really think just vw diesels cheat....no gassers.. no other companies??? really???.


i know i am really on the edge watching for deals....was getting close to doing an ecoboost 4 whizzer in my b2....but the diesel thing with the vw may just work out after all.

I think the people who are complaining about low resale value are probably all in "class action" law suits.
When talking to TDI owners I ask. "did you buy your car for the low emissions or high fuel mileage and amazing durability and reliability?"
The answer is always the fuel economy/reliability.
