So I have officially got my short block assembled and have my new heads ported and polished. I am looking ahead and aside from pushrods from smith bros the only thing left is a tune for this motor.... I'm having tons of problems getting someone to tune it, anyone have suggestions?

the motor:
4.0l OHV
12.75:1 compression
422 comp cam
port and polish heads and lower intake
long tubes with full 2.5in exhaust
AC delete but still has EGR
probably not going to be able to run 93 with the compression ratio so likely will be running meth injection too.

anyone have any suggestions as to how to tune this thing? I've called a couple places and everyone says they can't do it.

Okay... well any reviews of the SCT hand helds? looks like part number 3000 or 3015? I need one that allows me to adjust timing and fuel.

I would post this on the Forced Induction forum

Thinking these engine changes would also require changing tuning for best performance

Reads like a nice build, yes, regular gas is probably not going to work :)

I believe the year of the EEC you will be using would decide what would be the best tuner module to add, or don't use a Ford EEC at all

Check with hensonperformance.com in Alabama. They are supposed to do good work. If your compression is 12.75:1 you will not be able to run 93 for sure, not even close. I've done it and mixed aviation fuel with pump gas until I finally decided a head change was better. And that was when aviation fuel was $4 a gallon.

Thanks I'll check them out, I think I'm going to retard the cam 1 or 2 degrees and tune it rich. Let it eat. Thanks.
