thanks guys im going to look have one of my car club buddies that works at a tranny shop take a look and see what he thinks, i will keep you guys posted

with a swap its hard to say what went wrong. is it using the stock ecu to run the trans or an aftermarket unit? its kinda hard to hurt a 4r70 even with 400hp

It's not a PCM problem. No forward means burnt forward clutch. Period. You can take a 4R70W , disconnect the electronic connector and still have forward and reverse.
Sorry, I thought you meant the computer was wrong as in, wrong for the combo. Like they had tried to wire in the stock Ranger computer to the Expo motor.

But yes, like he said, the "reverse, but no forward" symptom immediately tells me it's not the computer. It takes a pretty fair amount of torture to turn ATF light brown.

it is using the stock explorer ecu
thats what i thought too, i have the same trans in my f-150
