Stock motor sitting on my trailer with my “new” motor. Covered any open holes with cut up strips of an old (but clean) towel, and liberal amount of duct tape.
Covered in plastic and stored until I decide how much to sell it for
Finally, I hauled the BII out into the back yard, since I don’t need the carport for now. Sprayed a bunch of oven cleaner (had some lying around) on all the grime, and hosed some of it off. Next I will soak it down with some Simple Green and power-wash it. After that I’ll start patching rust holes, modifying the firewall, and painting everything I clean up.
I also may be changing gears with motor mounts. The stock ones do feel “spongy.” Debating going to some fox mounts if I can get them for a good price. But first I have to figure out how to get the stock ones off.
