So I got this truck a little bit ago and thought I would finally post up some pics. Some of you have helped to get it running up to par. Thanks!
1986 Ranger XL 2wd 167,xxx miles.
Things it needed/things I've done to it:
1) Transmission
2) Tune-up, Valve cover gaskets, etc... (replaced a couple of sensors while in there)
3) New intermittent wiper module
4) new distributor stator/pickup
5) replaced the shocks (it still had the factory's on!)
Things it still needs/things I am going to change:
1) Ball joints (probably going to be asking you guys questions on that one)
2) I want to replace the rubber floor with carpet
3) A good wax job/clay bar treatment
4) Speedo cable or odometer, one of the two, is making a bunch of noise. Something needs to be fixed/replaced.
5) Add cruise control. Pretty much have all the components for the addition of stock cruise, Just need to figure out all the wiring fun.
The R-12 A/C system is still in place AND functioning. Seems to be holding its charge perfectly, although a little low. If it continues to do hold pressure I will top it off (I have R-12 ).
Anyway, Seems to be a good little truck, we'll see how she holds up.
