Specialty tools

Other than common hand tools like sockets, ratchets, wrenches etc., what would be the 5 HAND TOOLS you find absolutely indispensable when working on your car or truck?

I'm thinking along the lines of crow's foot wrenches, thin wall sockets, flare nut wrenches etc., but any HAND TOOLS will do... what're your must haves? Why?

first ones off the top of my head would be;

a can of PBBlaster (well duh)
and a small flash light (can never have to much light)
12 volt test light (electrical issues)
side cutters and crimpers (same as above)
oh and a small pocket or utility knife (always good to have a sharp knife)

and i would have guess that duct tape and electrical tape would be standerd must haves.

my Craftsman bent handle flex head ratchet. I love this tool. It has made my life so much easier.

A good set of Stubby combination wrenches have also been quite helpful.

I also have a set of security bits for special bolts. such as the allen or torx screws with the post in the middle and several other types. great for electronics that have security screws.

A can of PB B'laster.

Lets see...

tools i always need but never have:
-HAMMA'
-Sawzaw
-some stupid little tool that will only serve one purpose and never be used again.
-Duct Tape (always out)

Tools I use all the time and have:
-PB Blaster
-Lights
-Basic tools(wrenches, ratchets, ect...)
-Work Gloves.

Things I only use when feels appropriate:
-Excessive cursing
-Saftey glasses
-Soccer Ball (relieves anger)

you should also list an appropriate launching tool for #5 above....Far more satisfying than just throwing it. I would suggest a Mauser bolt action from experience.

Strictly tools, my top 5 based on actual use would be:
#1 TORQUE WRENCH
#2 Multimeter (w/ testlight for backup)
#3 Cotter pin remover (AKA "nose picker" or "hook tool"- zillions of uses)
#4 Combination electrical crimpers / cutter / pliers
#5 3-foot-long Matco straight screwdriver, for prying things and adjusting belts

Others:
Drill (electric or pneumatic) and bits
Specialty 1/4" bits (Torx, Security Torks, etc.)
Flare wrenches
Panel popper
Brake bleeding wrenches
Air tools (impact, ratchets, butterfly impact, die grinder)
Socket-drive extensions or swivels- you can't have too many of either
Floor jack
Jack stands
Chemicals
Lights
Vacuum guage
Fuel pressure gauge
AC gauges
Timing light

Look like a fool, but a headlamp is one of my new favorite tools. Picked up an LED one for $4 at the White Elephant flea market in New Milford.

The 5 essentials Besides the obvious are.
1. My VOM
2. Dewalt 5pc. 18volt cordless kit.(drill, flood light, sawsall, circular saw(with sheet metal blade) and grinder)
3. 4ft Pry bar
4. Linemans electrical pliers
5. The "Survival pack" (Jim beam, twinkies, chunky penut butter, water bottles, waterproof matches and TP)=]

I could go on, but thats a good start.

Ohh thats hard since comparibly my tool set is I am sure much smaller.

I always seem to use my air compressor as much as possible. mostly I use it to run my 1/2 inpact gun, I have a new 3/8 air ratchet that I havent got a chance to use, but I know that will be handy
