Great use of your talents. I like both the fold up wood cabinet and the press brake.

Thanks. I can't sit around and watch tv all day. I need projects to keep me busy.

So decided to do this yesterday. I sure like my floorjack spacers. Unbolted the bumper put the jack under it with a set of vice grips clamped to it and dropped the bumper. I have the bumper still balanced on the floor jack as I move it around the garage.

That cook box looks like it's going to turn out pretty nice. Post some pics when you get to try it out.

Is that a new bumper or did you modify the old one? If it's a new one, I'll buy your old one.

Yes it is a completely new bumper. Shoot me an offer on the old one. It will be available after March 7. I am going on the Kingsburg snow run that weekend. If I don't finish the new one in time I plan to put the old one back on.

Got the new one installed.

Took a little cutting to get the winch to fit.

Takes all of my 60 inch hillift to barely get a front tire off the ground. Normally I would chain the suspension but wanted to see what it would do.

My credo
In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.
Very, very NICE!

Last week I had a down day so I headed up to the snow to play around a little. I also just got a gopro knock off camera so I did a little filming and editing and made a quick video.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lXxJ6IBct_w

Today I decided I needed a way to warm up some food on the engine. I could never figure out a good spot on the 4.0 that would be easy to place and then pull off a hot engine some food. After looking under the hood I found a large open area due to not having A/C on my truck. I figured I could do something there. On the passenger side exhaust manifold there are two threaded bolts facing up. The rear one holds the coil pack bracket and the forward one is empty.

A bit of time measuring, drawing on the computer and then plasma cutting I had all the parts cut. A few key welds and some bending the parts were ready.

Then the bracket is bolted to the two holes in the manifold.

Next the inner tray is dropped in. I made it removable so that it could be easily cleaned and to make installation easier.

Then drop the lid on and latch it shut.

Now I need to go on a wheeling trip and try it out. In total it sits about 2.5 inches above the exhaust manifold. Hopefully that is close enough for it to get warm enough.

Yes. Tossed two hotdogs wrapped in tinfoil in it for about an hour. Pulled out some warm hotdogs. Could have been a bit warmer but still tasty for something wsrm on the trail. I spent most of the time just cruising on some forest service roads. The big test will be in two weeks. Taking the truck on a 1000 mile round trip run to death valley and the eastern side of the Sierra Nevada mountains.
