My credo
If it doesn't fit, force it!
It runs awesome. I had a fuel issue for a while but I got it worked out now. The chevy distributor module got fried due to no heat sink. Picked up a new one from the parts store and she's good to go again. I'll try to get a write up done here pretty soon.
Was the fuel issue due to the fried module, or something else? Would you consider it a worthwhile endeavor for someone without the duraspark distributor? I recently bought a bronco with carb issues, and you have me thinking about doing this to mine. But my bronco came with a Mallory ignition setup.

Yeah the fuel issue was from the module. I don't know much about the Mallory set up though. If I remember correctly, the D-spark dist only cost $55 brand new so it's not that expensive. I'm really gonna try and get a good write up done here pretty soon I've just been really busy with work and newborn baby girl. I also want to make a new adapter out of aluminum because the plastic one I got from ebay stripped out and It's caused a tiny fuel leak. I'd have to say this mod is probably about a 8.5 out of 10 on the difficulty scale, not for everybody.

Well I spun a bearing a couple months ago and now I'm getting no oil to the driver side of my engine. My buddy happened to have a rebuilt 2.8L just sitting around so I bought it. Pics.

Just caught up on this build. Looks good! With a new heart and a TBI you're going to feel like it's a new truck!

Yeah it hasn't ran this good in the 8 years I've owned it. It's been fun using it as my DD all week, I haven't done that since 08. Now I need to take it to the trails!
