Hey everyone love the forum. :D

Well I just upgraded my headunit to a sony cdx gt21w and I am going to replace the door and rear speakers with pioneer TS-A6872R's 3 way speakers.

I only have one problem. The truck is as baseline as it can get ( old head unit was just a radio o_O) so on the speakers behind the seats there are no speakers or even any speaker wires run. Is there a guide that will show me where to run wires from the rear speaker spots to the headunit and where I would wire them into the stock wire harness?

Thanks in advance,

Kaleb

I would just wire them directly to the radio. Thats what I did on my girlfriends truck and its easier than tying into the harness.

I had a 03' Xl no speakers also. I just ran speaker wire to the back via the radio speaker wires.

If I remember there wont even be the rear speaker wire in the factory harness since they dont run them back there

Oh ok. How did you run the wire? I don't have carpet or anything on the floor.

nothing on the floor? not even one of those plastic/vinyl mats? the only other thing i can think of is to run wires up through the headliner and down the pillar to the headunit

I'd suggest infinity kappa's in the rear. I'm running the Pioneer 4-ways up front with the Kappa's and it sounds perfect. (In my opinion, Of course) The Kappa's are just 2-ways, so it allows for that little extra bass you need in a system.
