Great points tomw...I was thinking about that and recall that someone else saying that decking the head to that limit is about as far as you can go before running into the interference issues.
Using a thinner head gasket was also put out there by someone else who went the same route with less decking involved to save some $$$.
The higher octane levels was also discussed but I can't recall (or remember the posters name...Mikelbus89 or something like that) the outcome.
Many things to consider that don't always come about in until the money has been spent and the parts applied...then it's a matter of how happy will they be...so always better to know as much as possible before going ahead.
