I just finished installing a push button start in my 85 2.3 ranger. Everything seemed to be working good until I drove around the block.
Air fuel ratio gauge shows a lean condition and the motor is being a little sporadic.
I have everything hooked up as follows.
1 on/off 20 amp toggle switch. Hooked up to all "run" wires (1 black, 1 blk w/grn, 1 brn w/pnk, 1 red w/grn, 1 prpl w/wht, 2 red w/wht, 1 gry w/yel, & 1 yellow power wire.) There was also one more grey with yellow wire that I did not hook up. All of these wires are crimped together with 1 10 gauge wire hooked up to one side of the switch minus the power which is hooked up to the other side.
I assume somewhere in that mess is my problem.
1 20 amp push button starter switch with 1 red w/ blue wire and 1 yellow power wire.
If you have any idea why it leaned out and started acting up please chime in.
Thank you.
