They didn't on the 110 hp 2.8 trucks, they had either 205 or 215 tires on them stock which are alot smaller than either 265's or 31's.iam running 3.73s with 31s in my ranger an i have no problems.. if those gears/tire size arent right why did ford use that set up on stock rangers?
How does that defy anything? It has a 400v8, gearing starts to matter less and less when you have more power/torque. Try driving a 2.8 of 2.9 with 31s and 3.55s, 5th gear is off limits. So i suppose my 78 defies all laws of motion when i can do 85+ in it with 3.55 gears and 31's.........
