i ran one in my old 94 ranger. it was not he powered version. back when they had a better sub in it. it was powered with a 250 watt rms bridged amp. it sounded ok. nothing that will turn heads. i believe the powered versions are 100 watts rms. i conclude you;re better off getting the non powered version and matching it with a higher wattage amp.

edit: you have a 4 door. in that case. they sound like crap. my friend has an infinity basslink in a tacoma. it will take more room up but sounds better. or a small 8/10" powered bazooka would take up minimal space and sound better than the thunderform.

yea i have one kicker cvx 10" and a kicker zx300.1. it sounds good but id like to have the extra room cause that cvx needs a pretty big box to sound right. thanks for the info tho.

Their boxes are really expensive, even online and come with a crappy sub. I've been looking to get one for my 91 explorer but won't pay what they want for one.

im kind of in the same boat. i took my sub out last week to get the carpet shampooed and havent put it back in yet. so nice to turn your head back and see all that open space. those Thunderforms look slick but the subs suck and their pricey as hell. im thinking of a small sealed box and a hard hitting 10" sub, right behind the drivers seat. havent come to a conclusion as to what brand or model i want yet.
