I know how u all feel about the A4LD but I do not want to hear problems with it I just want to know if my ECU from the 5 speed truck will work with an A4LD and if not what would I need to to to make it work the truck is a 95 4.0 and the trans came from a 92 Explorer

That I know .... they were used up to 94 ..that's why I asked the question what will it take to make it work!!
A degree in Electical Engineering, for one. 92 was EEC-IV/OBD-I, 95 is EEC-V/OBD-II.

in other words not gonna happen .... what does the computer control on the transmission? does the trans need to have the computer to function? it is NOT a DD i would be putting a ratchet shifter on it

10-4 I have read that I will just start looking for a C4 ..... the only reason I was looking into it I could have picked up a A4LD with converter, flywheel, all the bolts and an electric 1354 for $250 Thanks again
