jensen uv8 in dash problem

I have had my jensen uv8 in dash dvd headunit for a year and a half now and have had no problems til about a month ago. when it is on aux1 for my ipod it will only play the right side speakers and my sub will put out half as much. I switched my input cable to aux2 to check if it was the cable and it did the same thing. any suggestions?

Have you tried just CD's or something? And if you switch the cable to aux 2 your still using the same cable but in a different port so it could be the cable. however my moms truck has done this too and we can't figure out what it is...

yeah cds work fine. maybe it could be a new cable. did you replace yours?

No we stil don't know whats wrong with hers, but she has a stock stereo thats doind the same thing but with cds and radio. We are thinking a cut wire...

I would replace the cable and see if that does anything, if not well you know its not the cable. I want to say it could be a fuse but a fuse would pop and stop all power from getting to the unit.

It might but I doubt it seeing as the CD part still works and the radio plays all speakers then I would have to say its something to do with the aux ports or cable...

thanks for the help i will go pick up another cable tomorow i didint even think that it was the cable. kinda common sence if it didint work in both ports
