well my old ranger is back on the road. it has been fixed and being enjoyed by its new owner.
it is black cherry again but the flames are gone. it now has red scallops and bullit rims.
now I have a question. the weber carb I put on it is still hard starting. it seems to flood out when it is warm. the choke works great. .
once it is running it runs awesome. any ideas?
the new owner asked if I could help him out so this is why I am asking.
(maybe buy it back.lol)

Good to hear!

Hard starting after it is warmed or hard starting until it is warm?

Flooding out could be the float/needle...maybe needs a new needle if the float is not too high. What fuel pump are you using? Could be too much pressure for the needle.

carbs need only about 7psi maximum...

also it might need a 1" thick heat-spacer under the carb to keep the fuel from percolating into the maniflood....errrr....manifold....(starting to think like Mark---again)
