I dont think that will be enough tube, I put about 100-110ft into just a cab cage
Dang, that is a lot. He has a full size ext cab so i am sure he will need a little bit more.
These tube that I am bringiing home are for the extras. He also ordered a pre-bent, through dash cage from a racing shop. Hopefully that will fit OK. Hopefully he has enough.

He is getting ready to pull the dash out like you did.

Did some wheelin' in April. I am the only one that takes pics, so not much of the Ranger.

Went out with Stillwell Stompers. It was much more hardcore that I thought it would be. I broke some welds after hitting some rocks. Most of the pack had 40s. I have 36s so I was slamming around pretty hard.

My buddy Josh brought his SAS GMC. Boy did he beat that thing up. He was determined to get the full size rig down the Jeep sized trails. And he did.

Ready to load

Fillin up and making sure it can handle some road driving between trail heads

Then it started to rain. And since i have no doors...

The GM team

Started to hit dirt roads. That meant we were getting close! This place was nice since it was bout 45min from my house.

Our leader was this YJ. It has an Explorer 5.0L and auto trans. Axles were 8 lugs with a radius arm setup and 4 link rear i think. It was on sticky 40" MTRs

Nice LJ

Broke my front cab mounts not far in haha

My buddy Nate brought the buggy. It was at home with this place.

All out to get washed down

Also, i finally got rid of the carpet in the truck. I trimmed the floorboard pieces out a few years go. But the carpet was still getting nasty. So it no long has carpet.

I had one seat bolt that was really messed up. Ended up welding another bolt onto it and getting it out that way.

Had the turbo off of the Powersroke last night to fix a leak.
So i was thinking... LOL

Visited my mud bog friends. The flat black 7.3 is getting 5 tons and a new 4 link suspension. The old 2.5 tons went under this 5.8L gaser

The wife was gone for a weekend. So I finally tested out the AWD system in the Equinox. It works pretty good. Probably because the 4cyl in it is a dog

So how so you like the Equinox? The lease is almost up on our Traverse and want to downsize and think about getting one for better gas mileage.

Its not bad. It works well for her. She really likes it. Its a good size and its not fast haha. She has quite the lead foot. She has always owned a chevy, so naturally she loves the button layout.
I would recommend the 6cyl if you get the AWD model. The 4cyl that we have is gutless to my standards.
The sticker claims 29 mpg hwy. My best is 26. She gets 22 mpg. She drives about 70% highway. I wish it did a little better on fuel but it does good enough. Maybe it doesnt do as well because it is a LTZ?
It also has really long oil change intervals which is nice (according to the GM life thing). We got it in October 2011 and it has 20k miles on it now. I just changed the oil for the second time haha.

22mpg is all? Hell we get 20mpg with our Traverse with the 3.6L. Best was 29 on the highway.

Maybe since it is the AWD 4cyl making bad gas mileage.

I keep telling my wife we need a Ford but she also has had nothing but Chevy or Pontiac. But I get overruled. Lol

I saw you passing through Jeromesville yesterday. I was pretty incognito in my green truck.

Got the truck back together after the last outing. Had to weld a few things up.

I got bored while waiting for things to cool and added our names to the fenders haha. Its billy but who cares. I wish i didnt paint them. Shoulda let them rust

Doing Yard work. I need to get out to a trail soon!

I still need new front lock outs. One of these days I will get up to summit.

Also, my tow rig is for sale if you all know anyone looking. 03 7.3L Powerstroke with a manual trans. Looking for $14,250 out of it.
So far, everyone that likes the flat bed doesnt like power addrs, tint, clutch...
The guys that want the go fast stuff dont want the flattie. Someone has to want both like me

Sold the Diesel yesterday. It was a hard and sad day. I hope the new owner takes care of it.
So now I have some time and cash to work on the Ranger again. Even though I no longer have a way to get to the trail head haha. Hopefully I can get another tow rig by the end of the year.

Did a bunch of yard work today. I have these bushes that drive me crazy. Decided to see if the Ranger could pull them out. I didnt think it would since I only have 2wd at the moment. However, it got them out and I didnt even ruin the grass. I was surprised.

The first one was about 12 feet around. I was sick of mowing around it and it was ugly. Not gonna lie, it took some efforts. I had a 30ft strap on it and I backed up into the bush, literally, but my seat belt on and let her rip. 6 tugs and it was out.

Dented the gate backing into the bush

Dragged it out to the fire pit.

Since the big one came out, I decided to get the small ones out too.

Finally got my front DS out. Its not straight anymore

After digging around, I found this. Have no idea where i got it from, but it will work as a replacement.

Why did you sell the diesel? That was a nice looking truck.

Thanks man! It was a good truck. Already saving for another one haha.

I wanted to kill a high interest student loan and pay off the rest of my wedding before the baby comes so I sold the truck. That freed up a good chunk of my monthly expenses so now I am much more comfortable paying that $900/mo daycare bill :icon_thumby:
