Front tow hook conversion

Replaced front tow hooks with rough country shackle kit. What you guys think?

Nice. As a plus it looks like they don't stick out far enough to take out your shins.

With the optional d rings it was 89.99. But only 69.99 without. May want to buy some colored d rings in future but love it for now

Do they clank around as you drive or do they tighten up enough to keep them stiff?

The d rings have rubber insulators included. They fit tight so have to use some force to move. But without those the would bang around

Not really that bad.

I have D Ring tie downs welded on the front of my truck. Steel on steel and they can swing however you want.

I might hear them move driving thru tall grass or a hard stop with the windows down, otherwise they keep to themselves.

Yes sir. I have a d ring shackle in my receiver with out isolator and I hardly ever hear it. And it swings freely. Hard braking and some big obstacles

I had big brass shackles on the front of my dodge and they drove me insane. They fit loose and they rattled even just sitting at idle, on a gravel road it was ridiculous thats why I wondered. I could see what looked like rubber o-rings or isolators but wasn't sure.

Just be careful if you park anywhere sketchy. Around here that kinda stuff disappears before you finish putting it on. I've lost shackles, hitches, fire extinguishers, valve caps, hub caps, antennas etc. Basically if you can take it with no tools its gonna be stolen one day. Someone even stole a fish out of my cooler once.

Dag gum. Luckily I live in a small town were if someone stole them someone else I know would know them haha and my neighbor is chief of police haha. But dually noted. I do travel quite a bit for work so maybe they come off before then.

I don't like to stray from the ocean lol. I been all up and down the east coast. Once you pass Virginia the attitude of people change drastically. Same with up north though. They are a different breed of redneck but people in New England area (excluding Boston) are nice as well.
