Yeah, pretty much all the important ones, engine, trans, axles stay the same through the end of production.
The tank sizes did change dramatically and frequently over the years, but who cares about tank capacity? When the needle says E it's empty, when the pump goes "click" it is full.
You aren't spending any more if you fill it all at once or $10 at a time.
Indeed, I do like to fill it up where it's the cheapest.
I like to fill up where it's convenient. Fortunately for me the best price in our area is usually the Sun-ho-co across the street from my job.
I wonder if there all separately owned and they get there gas from different companies. I haven't seen Sunoco station in forever, I didn't think they existed anymore.
