Actually, more like slightly under sized AAA batteries. Six of them. 123s are shorter and much fatter.

That's just the most recent thread I've seen. There have been older ones with other construction styles documented.

Interesting on the flat stack batteries. All the ones I ever bothered to disassemble had the AAA like batteries. I think those were a Duracell and a Rayovac.

I took apart a 9–volt battery out of curiosity when I was in high school over 40 years ago. It had 6 cells in a flat stack then. The cells looked almost like wafers.

Disagree.

Male testosterone levels are falling off a cliff.

This directly correlates with "safety" features and electric vehicles.
According to Dr. Shanna Swan the reduction in testosterone, sperm counts, and the shrinking of our taints is caused by phthalates, a chemical used in plastics. So blame big oil.

My credo
The perfect is the enemy of the good.
What irks me is calculators etc take those tiny batteries but they don't bother to print on the inside what battery so if you have for instance and old TI it's a research project.
Same with thermometers etc.
Thread wander, I know.
