These came out of a 97 and are in a 99 extended cab. Just change the seat belts and widen out one of the holes on the bracket

My credo
Built not bought
I should of kept the ranger belt which is what your talking about I think . As far as the seats ( 96 expo )for my 94 extended cab they bolted right up , just the carpet can mess with you sometimes getting in the way .

I just wanna go fast [emoji48]

Ts, go back through the posts I made. Keep in mind I have the same truck. If you come up with questions or need info, let me know.

That bolt is the front closest to the console. The ranger bolts won't fit through the explorer bracket. I just ran a drill bit through to make the hole in the bracket big enough to fit the ranger bolt. The bolt threads to the body of the truck so changing the bolt would be MUCH more difficult than just drilling the seat bracket from the ranger.

For what it's worth, I also put a mounting bracket for my light from Rockranger... He had smaller holes too. I think when they switched to the 98 or 99 they also changed this mounting hardware. It's a difference worth noting before you do like I did and assume they are the same. It's obviously not a huge deal, but atleast you'll know going in that it's slightly different.

I like the style of those seats so I started looking for a good set close. I have a 5 speed so the console is another issue. I read someone makes a boot to fit the front hole in that console but it would also cover the airbag switch. may go with '97 seats and a 94ish console though it might be hard to find a gray leather console from '94.

My airbag switch is tucked inside. The front piece pulls out easily if I need to disable the airbag... But that's almost never.

That's the only slight issue with mine is that I wouldn't be able to have that option. Mine would have to look like this. (pic from another thread here)

Should still just pull off. You would need to pull the knob off to take it all the way out, but you easily lift it enough to work the switch. Honestly, how often do you use that switch?

You have have the switch plugged in out the system throws a code. But there is plenty of room to leave it in the dash back there

Maybe a little ahead of myself here but where did you tap power for the seats from?
