Adjusting steering wheel angle

For those of us with rangers w/o a steering wheel adjustment, couldn't we put spacers between where the steering wheel column bolts up to the dash? Depending on what size spacer you use you might need longer bolts, but would you be bending anything in a bad way doing this? Of course doing this would only allow you to lower the column and not raise it, but even a small amount of adjustment would be nice.

Not a safe Idea, It is designed around being where it is and at the angle the column is for a reason. If you do decide to do it make sure you dont overtorque the bolts and wreck the breakaways.

that would only rotate the column, not the wheel....
