... Just need to get those holes drilled in the frame now.
Hey, I'm 'quite familiar' with Jame's bumper -- Nice work there -- Can you get a pic of the side of your frame horn there (were you'll be drilling holes) either with or without your drill work? Thx

I'll be interested in seeing it all painted/mounted up too...

UPDATE!

Well, I know most of you guys didn't like the idea of the bar I put on it, but I made the decision to keep it on.

In the future when funding permits, I may cut this one off and have one fabb'd, but for now, I'm good with it.

That being said, here's the finnished product. Obviously I'll be adding a winch and lights eventually, but it's mounted and looking sweet now.

Just a few shots of it. The angle and lighting sucks...but I was tired at this point and really didn't care. I'll try and get some better shots.

And here's a pic of the mounting brackets. Sorry I didn't get a pic of the drilled holes before I installed it. Didn't really think of it 'till it was all buttoned up.

Well that's going to be it for now. I'll be putting the lights on it soon, so I'll snap some shots of that. But for major stuff, I think my suspension lift it up next. :icon_hornsup:

um....
not trying to be a dick but.. it is HIS truck...
i mean, yea i don't like the light bar either.. but if he likes it what can we do?
i offered my opinion about a custom light bar.. and he just can't do it right now and he likes that light bar on there now.
so i think we should do him a favor and lay off.. he's said that he considered and wants to keep it.

Agreed. I've always been a "function over fashion" guy. That's why I decided to go with this one in the first place....it's friggin beefy and not made of aluminum like most of the junk light bars on the market today. I could probably take down a fair size tree with minimal damage with this sucker.

only thing i say is that, take some flat stock and fill in the holes where the push bar meets the bumper... i just like the fact you're giving the newer ex some love, not just gen 1's..

Are you going to crank the torsion bars up front?

Yes indeed. Depending on what it looks like after I crank the front, I may order the extended shackles next. My hope is to get 2" out of the suspension, and have it sit level. After all that I'll be looking at a body lift.

Can't really trim the fenders a lot on the four door ones, cuts into the rear door jamb.
