I am in search of 2 rear 95-97 center caps for my ranger. They can not have the hole for the locking hubs since I have a 2wd and they need to cover the spindles in the front.

Let me know if you have some and how much you need to get for them. thanks

EDIT: Pics provided below for a visual reference.

Sorry that one is the wrong style. The one you have is round at the base and the ones I need are a 5 pointed star shape. I do appreciate you looking to see if you had the correct ones though. Thanks.

In my searches on line I noticed the difference in them. I'm thinking the round is 98 or newer.

Maybe you’re looking for ones off an Explorer?

They came on both the Ranger and the Explorer but started in 95. IF I am not mistaken this style cover was introduced even on the Deer hoof rims in 95. 95 was the change over year so some rangers got the screw on center covers while the majority got the push on.

If it helps here is a pic the offending winter rims I have:

and TRS's Pic from the tech section with wheel covers:

The tech section says they were from 95-98 but does not say if they were strictly Explorer rims

I don’t think I’ve ever seen those rims “factory” on a Ranger.... always been an Explorer.

But I could be wrong 🤷🏼‍♂️

Either way, I may can source you some next time I go out to the P-A-P here in B’ham.

the grey-t escape
I think thats a 16” explorer wheel. The set of 4 snap-on centers from my ‘97 ranger are completely round at the base, they were 14” deer-paws.

These are actually a 15x7x12 rim, the 16s were the ones that the holes look like D's starting in 98. But these like the Deer Hoof rims may have come in 2 different sizes which came 14x6 and 15x7.

Our local junkyard closed down middle of last year and all others close don't keep them long enough for me to find them. They have admitted to pulling the motors and trans and crushing them within days. 😔

The closet P-A-P is out near Boston Ma. I live right near the N.Y. line so unless I'm buying a whole carcus it's not worth the drive.

If you know you're heading out to yours let me know so if I haven't found some yet I'll have you pick some up if they have them.
