I'm posting this here for the traffic. I can't put it in the classifieds as it isn't mine, and i can't put it in the ebay/craigslist forum as it's not on either.
I've driven past this more times than i can count. Today I finally decided to give the owner a call.
its got the usual illinois body rot, right now there's no battery in her but the owner said she had it running yesterday. she also claims it has a flywheel issue, but being an auto i'm guessing that means flexplate and/or torque converter issues. I would be interested in it myself but she's had an offer for $800 and if i understood her correctly the buyer wants to take it to the scrap yard.
the owner says the motor has 90k on it and the tranny has 6k (i think) the passenger door does not open and the rear hatch doesn't latch on the drivers side. the interior is incredible aside from a 1" cut in the headliner.
she'd rather see someone fix it up and drive it or turn it into a toy than see it go to the scrapper. I told her i wasn't willing to pay the $800 myself but that if she didn't mind i would post it up on here for her. so here it is.
