2JZ is
31" long, pulleys to starting edge of bell housing (end of block), so 4" longer the 302/5.0l V8 which barely fits with short pullies and E-fan, could change to shorter wider radiator in front of rad support, maybe get enough room

27" tall, bottom of pan to top of valve cover, 302 V8 21" tall, can do a body lift

30" wide (edge of stock twins to edge of intake manifold), 302 V8 19" wide
This ones a killer in a Ranger engine bay
Have to move steering shaft and lose heater box, exhaust to outside of frame maybe
Keep in mind i will also be relocating the battery and i am doing a electric ps rack so i will have plenty of real estate

Ok gents.... Been a crazy few months but unfortunately its time to move on. Im selling my 2jz shortblock (dm if interested) and moving onto smaller projects around the house and mainly getting my current daily ranger finshed restored. Im only 19 and the parts for this engine are just too pricey and while it was a good deal i wasnt super crazy about the 2j from the start. Hoping to get a ford flex limited and play around with the 3.5 ecoboost while still getting my truck fixed.

Sorry to hype everyone up then disappoint you but ce la vie.

My credo
Its probably better to be self deprecating than self defecating.

If your after cheap parts, gm is the way.

Still gonna break the bank being any sort of performance enthusiast though.... regardless of brand. Shit gets out of control in a hurry lol.

its not as much that as it is that i need SO many parts. the engine i bought came with no wiring no sensors no oil pump no alternater etc. i need so many parts and i also realized that even tho it would be rad im only 19 and saving money is more important right now.
