1993 Valve Covers

Do I have to scour the junkyard for valve covers & if so, is any 4.0L (of similar 1993ish vintage) going to do me?

Any other platforms I should be looking at? I gather Exploders used the same engine.

I looked on eBay and only found 1 set.

yeah i diden't even look in aerostars while at the junkyard looking for a 4.0

I pulled a decent set from some sort of Exploder this morning. Gotta clean them up, and install

I am casually looking for a set for my 1990 Ranger as well. Mine were really rusty with pin hole leaks when I got the truck. I have seen some on eBay but they list 1991 and up. Is there a difference between the 1990 and 1991+ years. I don't care about the extra holes for the plug wires either.

Anyone sell an aftermarket set?

Aftermarket Set

I poked around for about 20 minutes on Google trying to find an aftermarket set.
No luck.

I haven't pulled much from Aerostars because I haven't needed to; Exploders are everywhere. But Chevy G-XX vans are another story. You just take the inside cover off the engine and it's all right there. I got my SM465 out of a G-20.

Are they really that much harder?
