I'm working on an engine now that is still leaking even after a new valve cover gasket. I discovered a very small crack in the block on the passenger side corner the last time I sealed the valve cover. I put some JB weld in the crack and let it set, but it is still leaking oil. What else should I try? I've used cork gaskets and the Form-a-gasket stuff, neither working.

Help please?

See if you can get the rubber type valve cover gasket...they are more expensive but they seal up very well...with the rubber ones you don't use any sealant at all...but make sure you do NOT tighten them too tight...just snug and a bit more...I've got three of them if you're in Ontario you can have one...but they're used and have stretched a bit...but they still work fine...
