03 ranger edge revs high at start and idles rough.

So I bought this truck yesterday and when I checked it out it didn’t have a rough idle or rev up at starting. I feel like a fuse has blown or something it’s just like a switch flipped and now on starting it will rev high for just a sec than back to normal than idle rough. Can anyone suggest anything? Also the oil pressure gauge will spaz but the valves don’t tick so I know it’s not the motor it also will shift in and out of over drive at the slightest acceleration or deceleration.

I would look to see if a vacuum hose has come off. Sucking air in will make the idle high till the computer corrects it, and then all that air can make it idle rough.
