On the flip side, all of these problems are an improvement over the cup location suggestion circles from the early Bronco II consoles. I flipped multiple drinks on those before ripping the thing out and finding a suitable replacement at Walmart.
Yeah, I have no idea what they were thinking when they came up with those.

Back then you finished your beer before you drove. You didn't need a cup holder.

83-85 Ranger consoles which are really rare didn't even have a cupholder according to the parts diagram. Lots of coin and cassette tape storage though.

I hated buckets but if I happen across one of those in my travels I might have to ditch the bench seat. I have only seen a handful of pictures and have yet to see one in real life.

Not true... my dad had the 87 Ranger before I had it and he sometimes drank 2 or 3 beers while driving.

*cough* Distracted driving *cough*

Many places in Canada (and I'm sure in the US), it's illegal to drive with your phone in your hand. What makes you think that driving with a drink in your hand is any safer? Is it legal? In Saskatchewan it is (for now). Have I been known to do it? Sure. But let me tell you something... In order to take a drink from my cup, or what ever, I have to take my eyes off the road, and my hand off the steering wheel. Doing that for a cellphone is illegal.

So you don't drink anything at all as you drive?

We should all strive to be as civic minded as Dirtman here.

For that comment?!
Yes, that 'colonic cannon' was my cactus fresca from Panera. One of the simple things in life that I freakin' love. :thefinger:

At this point wouldn't it be simpler to just make a list of people who are NOT on the list?
...probably. I think you're on the list. Are you on the list? You have to be on the list. If Ranger850 and Bird76 are on the list, I don't see how you couldn't be on the list.

Eh, to hell with it, you're on the list.

In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.
My personal goal for this month; Get on the list.
