What did you do to your Ranger today? (Part Deux!)

Put my battery on life support with a trickle charger until I can buy a new battery. It just isn't holding a charge since it got cold. I was hoping to nurse it until the spring but apparently that isn't going to happen.

Still trying to kick this cold, hopefully I can just stay in the house tomorrow & just binge yellowstone all day.

We just started Yellowstone I think we're at episode 4. Pretty good so far.

Hope you get feeling better...

I could probably be talked into hooking you up on a discount on a new battery if you want to run up here someday

Tomorrow is the first day I'm off quarantine and right back to work. I'll need to make a battery run in the morning before work since we only have a skeleton crew on 2nd shift and my shop is on the other side of the flight line. I have a jump pack and I can park on a hill since I have a clutch but I would rather save those for second and third option. Thank you though. Very much appreciated.

Watched some of the snow melt off of it. It hasn't been started in near a month now and only been started once in two months.

I managed to kill a brand new battery the other night- left my heated seat cushion on. The battery ran down and froze at 3* overnight and shorted out a cell.

I took it back for the core refund and the new replacement was $20 more than it had been 2-1/2 weeks ago, spoke to the folks at the desk and got the original price.

Well heck, if you can pop start it why worry about a battery. I’ve gone weeks to a month pop starting because of something wrong with battery/wiring/solenoid/starter in more than one of my trucks, lol.

Only works if you preplan and park on a hill. Not a problem at home. A bit more problematic at work and forget to strategically park.

That being said, the battery has been replaced. I looked up the last time I replaced it. A little over 5 years for a 3 year battery. Not bad. This one is only 2 years. Even less thrilled about that. I guess companies were losing too much money on their 5 year batteries...

i put on my new air shocks and muffler

thats how its sits at 50 psi with worn out springs so i call that pretty good

When I got truck cig lighter was just ugly hole. Turned out cig lighter was pushed thru the bezel because plastic of bezel worn/broken. The fix is to take a 1" split key ring, may have to cut it to get just one thickness, use that as a washer. Worked great, and cosmetically invisible. Hole in bezel is tapered so two thicknesses prevented proper seating to engage threads, but once you have one thickness it has some give to it and can be made to work. I was tired of seeing ugly hole, plus, can use it as Aux 12V and not have cord hanging so much in the way.

Oddly radio and heater vent etc came out with bezel, which I'm pretty sure didn't happen when I took off bezel before, so I'm assuming something is just stuck there. I think bezel should come off as a separate piece and not be stuck to radio etc.

Dead battery, huh? That reminds me. Since I pulled the starter out last week (on the warmest day of the week, thankfully), I have not had the time to put it back after attaching a new solenoid to it. Right now it's too frickin' cold to install the starter. Although it's VERY SUNNY, the temperature is around 9 degrees! So I think I will bring the battery inside to warm up, with a trickle charger hooked up to it. It hit its four year mark last month, so I think that would be a good plan. Any ideas, folks?

Got ready to start building new bed. Bumper comes off in the morning. Then I can start figuring out how tall each crossmember needs to be. Vertically, the stupid frame is as straight and level as the north Atlantic Ocean during a good nor'easter.
