What did you do to your 2019 and up Ranger today?

I don't like how dark those plugs are. Odd that #1 and #2 were the hard ones to pull out. Usually, it's be back two, especially if you have a cowl leak onto the spark plugs, like some have had with the 2019-2023 models. Hopefully, things will be better with the next change and it is purely how the previous owner drove the truck.

Mine didn't look too bad at 100,000 miles when I changed mine.
There was a fare amount of dirt and debris under foam cover. There were leaves that are not native to TN under the cover. I think some of the difficult was debris in the spark plug sleeves.

I've heard mixed opinions on engine covers in general. Some say to remove them because they trap heat and debris. Some like them, because of the cowl leak I mentioned, because they help keep water from dripping and pooling in the spark plug tubes, causing corrosion problems. I have mixed feelings on them myself. I like the look they give most engines and they are nice to have if you do develop a cowl leak. But they do trap debris and I can see the argument about heat being trapped, cooking the stuff under the cover.

That actually looks much better.

Best thing to do when you see that is a pistol grip air nozzle. Blow them out before you take anything apart. Don't wanna get that stuff in the engine. I have used brake cleaner before. Then hit with PB Blaster (My spray lube of choice. Use whatever ya want.) before you pull them.

Too late, they have already been changed out. But I did blow out the sleeves before I pulled the plugs.

Finally got my truck back from the body shop yesterday. They even did a nice detail job on it.
Today after work I took the sandbags and wood deck out of the bed, so now we'll probably get snow once more.

I added a Sirius radio and tool box to my '25. Why Ford thought it a good idea to just not have sirius in an XL truck is crazy and getting one with sirius was more than I wanted to spend.

I have driven on the new tune for over a week now. My 1st impression still stands. I was going to buy a peddle commander to pair with the tune, but the tuner said it was a waste of money as the tune fixed the sloppy gas peddle. He was right the peddle is nice and crisp now without the additional device. There is a lot of power that the manufacturer left on the table of these trucks. I have gotten on it a time or 2 and it has truely been awakened. I love it. I recommend getting a tune for tour truck.
