Were these stock?

Never have. :icon_bounceblue:

About 3/4 of a mile from my house is a old highway with the curbs shaved that is about like driving in 1945 Berlin.

I fold the DS (left hand side :icon_thumby:) towing mirror in on my F-150, the road has earned a reputation for when two towing mirrored trucks meet. Not enough traffic to repave/widen, too much to gravel... so it it just kind of exists.

Holy smokes. I’d totally forgotten about it, but the same thing used to happen when I was a kid in the ‘70s, on the back road behind where I grew up. No lines painted on it to this day and not really wide enough for two full lanes of asphalt. Trucks used to swap mirror chrome all the time. Thanks for the memory! :icon_rofl:

I used to have a 93 Buick roadmaster wagon, (by the way, that's the car I wrecked and the reason I ended up with a ranger) it had a limited edition hood ornament but I know the car wasn't a limited edition. I took one of this hybrid badges off a Toyota prius and glued it to the car right under the roadmaster badge, it looked cool as hell and always laughed my ass off when people looked at it and ask if it was hybrid. It was hilarious, I pulled the hybrid badge off, should've kept the hood ornament but didn't think about it. We ended up putting the motor in my girlfriend's Chevy pickup. I really miss that car..

You ever see the movie "vacation" from a few years back? Kinda like a reboot of the "national lampoons" ones from the 80s? Well norman reedus (daryl from walking dead) is a truck driver in it, with a stuffed kids toy tied to the grille of his KW (IIRC, mighta been a freightshaker), either way, listen to his answer on why he has

Oh, it makes the kids feel more comfortable. :shok:

So what's the reason for the toy on the grill? Can't here the little GIF in the last quote and cant find anything on google about this.
In Asian cultures they do it to Ward off and entertain spirits near/on the road
