Walker Flexas Ranger.......yes another one!

Nice truck! You didnt say it was a 4wd! lol Usually "clean and late 80s" means clean, 2wd old man truck lol.

Why put the D50 TTB back in?

Because the d60 swap was never finished, its way taller than I want for a DD/tow rig and all the original stuff came with the truck. It wont be a trail rig so I would rather just put it back to stock.

I agree, for a DD/tow rig the TTB D50 is fine....have the brakes, hubs, and u-joints of the D60...just not the ring gear/pinion is all...

and if it were me, look for a PSD to put in it...the fuel mileage saving alone would pay for the swap in no time :icon_thumby:

btw, nice truck:icon_thumby::icon_thumby:

I thought about putting a Cummins in it for a sec but decided to keep it simple and also try something a little different.
Im completely rewiring the whole truck and Im goin to make my own engine harness so I can use another Stinger-Performance Pimp megasquirt computer instead of the crappy factory speed density ecm. I use one in my 2.3t 88 Ranger and love it.

An update!

Last week took my younger cousin to Bundy Hill for his first time ever doing and real off roading in his mildly prepped Chevy Trailblazer. I rode bitch and spent most of the day walking him through everything there he wanted to try. Well thats enough of that shit!

Got back to work on the Truggy today.I have a good plan to stick to and hope to have this finish asap.

Picked a small but important project today. Finishing the winch. I already had a new motor put on my XR8 last year and today I reclocked the control box and bolted it down and wired it up. Fits just how I wanted it to.

The whole front sheet metal has been just sitting on the truck since I started the build so today I finally got everything lined up and bolted down for good. You can also see I started on the shock hoop crossover today also.

Goin to finish up the crossover brace and get reservoirs mounted in morning along with new/different exhaust manifolds so I can finish steering.

Decided why wait for morning! Check another thing off my To Do List.

Whipped this up tonite..

Welded the flanges on bolted together with washers inbetween each flange.

Then welded them to the hoops.

Then I removed the bolts and the washers fall out.Now I just run the sawzall inbetween the two flanges.

Then I painted and bolted everything together.Just used some worm clamps on the reservoirs for now.

That's a pretty trick way of making sure everything lines up, I like it. :icon_cheers:

Had another decent day yesterday in garage. Small things though.

Welded up a mounting bracket on frame rail for oil filter mount, made the oil lines from engine to relocation adapter, came up with a decent air inlet setup with a K&N filter, started pulling current headers off and have engine harness laid out on table to cut open and make it fit this truck a little better than it did in the Bronco2.

Had a pretty good weekend in garage again.

Pulled the BBK headers off and swapped on the cast Explorer manifolds. Building my Y-pipe gona be alot easier now, have tons of room now for steering shaft and I had to re-do my plug wires to fit differently because of how those manifolds are made.

Got trans lines all plumbed and hooked to cooler along with vac line that I had forgotten all about.

Coulda got alot more done except I had to get an old riding mower up and running for sister and my mothers husband passed away suddenly Sunday.

Interested in selling the BBK's? Sorry to hear about losing the family member, our condolences go out to you and yours...

Thank you.

You wouldnt want the BBK's....drivers side tubes are beat to hell from tryin to get steering shaft to clear. These stock manifolds will be an upgrade over these beat up BBK's!

I have 200/300 springs and its sitting with 3" of stuff and 9" drop

Not yet its still under construction. Will be finished very soon though
