i was reading online and i found a site about upgrading the 2.3. in the fuel injection section it talked about using bigger fuel injectors. i have a manifold with the fuel rail and injectors still on it from a 302. i believe theyre supposed to be 19 lb/hr and my stock ones are either 14 or 15 i think. i have a 97 2.3. it also mentioned drilling out the sample tube on the MAF to compensate for the increase in fuel. anybody done this or have any experiences with upgrading injectors? thanks

What are your plans? Just doing adding fuel on a stock motor might hurt performance. Are you going forced induction?

I'm not a 2.3 expert, but we have quite a few on here.

The injectors are matched to the Maf. If you upgrade the injectors, you need to either upgrade the Maf, have it recalibrated, or get a tune to adjust calibration. I would not alter the Maf ports as using a drill bit is not precision. You could do more harm than good, or worse, destroy the Maf altogether...

I ported and polished my MAF like on Rogue Performance, but I did it to a second one I picked up at a junkyard to keep the stock one intact, and took my time to get it right, and have noticed no ill effects, but I'm running a 3.0.
