Twister 85 B2 Build

I am pretty sure the ports in the center are below the intake/water ports on the E6 and E7 heads I have played with. There is a small port in the center of the head that collects carbon. I think it has something to do with EGR.

The water ports are only at each end of the heads, there is nothing in the middle that should be wet.

Here is my engine right after I ripped the stock intake off, it is newer than yours so maybe they changed those ports between here and there. The white ports at each end of the heads are for coolant.

I got the cooling system all buttoned up along with the oil system, but found my valve covers leak :annoyed:. The guy who owned it before my friend must have used the entire stock of rtv he could find on the valve cover gaskets, i replaced the valve covers and got new gaskets the blue rubber ones with the steel core), but i guess i didn't get all the rtv off. I was going to fill up the cooling system all the way tonight, but i figured i should let the thread sealant i used on the water temp adapter to dry a little. So test fire up is in the next few days :icon_hornsup:, now that i am out of school to January i should have ample time to work on the truck :yahoo: :icon_cheers:

Turns over and runs or just turns over?

Video or it isn't true.

Turns over, I didn't have ignition or the fuel pump hooked up, was just trying to get some oil splashed around as the engine hasn't run in nearly 1.5 years.

Easiest way is to turn the oil pump shaft with a drill. Keeps the rest of the stuff from getting dry started.

It may sound silly, but I have the hardest time getting distributors back in correctly lol.

Me too. Good thing is, they are in the front of the engine. I put mine in a tooth off and couldn't get it timed quite right. Took about fifteen minutes to fix that problem.

I might do that.

I'll have to view on a computer. Every since Photobucket has been doing updates, I can't view pictures or videos when I click on links to them.

I've got a cheap chrome one from AutoZone that has a dual in half pound increments and an in line gauge as my setup. I'm running 5.5 psi. Edelbrock are made to run at 6psi before you have flood issues.

Don't think i am getting spark and i can't figure out why . I haven't changed any of the wiring from when i was running my 2.8.

Your running the duraspark setup? Turn the key on in the run position and check with a volt meter on the power wires to the coil and to the durabox.

Made sure you aren't running relays that need 12v to work in your setup. I did that for my ignition at first and while cranking the relay would turn off during that time but when I stopped cranking it would get 12v and send power to the coil the engine would start, not the best setup and I fixed it to start while cranking, which is what your duraspark setup should be doing.

If you are getting power, then go get your durabox tested.

Coil is getting voltage with key on. It turns over great, better than my 2.8 and 2.9. Got the dspark box tested and it is ok. I added back a ground from the coil to the engine. So ill see if that helps.
