Hey guys,

I have a 1985 Ford Ranger 2.3L 2WD. I've disconnected the red cable in the battery and I've replaced the water pump. I put everything back together and re-attached the red battery cable to the battery. I turned my key half way, the lights came up, and when I turned to start the engine, something sounded like "click" and the starter did not turn. When I turn the key now, there are no lights on my dashboard and the starter does not turn. I think there is something wrong with my electrical. I have no dome lights, nothing.

I am guessing a fuse is blown or something. I don't know where my fuse box is either.

Anyone have any suggestion?

Found the fuse box but no blown fuse

Hi

I found the fuse box and I checked all the fuses and there are no fuses that are blown.

When I turn the key, I have no lights coming on and starter doesn't turn, all silent.

Anywhere else I should check?

Thanks

Recheck the battery connections.

X2 on what RTG said dirty battery connection

That solved it.

Hey Guys,

Thanks for that tip. I tightened the connection and that did it.

Really appreciate it.

Thanks
