Transmission Fill problem.

so I have a 1987 Ford Ranger 2.9 4 wheel drive. that I'm having trouble locating the fill plug on the transmission. I have the chilton book where it tells me that its on the left side but unfortunately it's not stamped on the case. but on the other side it has 2 plugs. One is the reverse light switch stamped on the case REV. then the other is stamped SIL. can anyone tell me what that means and also the location of the fill plug for my transmission Please. Thanks
