Well Adam(littlebigfoot) went to get an emmision test, they said his tires where to big.So we changed em out for 31's,well he passed. When changing the tires back out for his 35's the jack slipped out with adams head in the wheel well pinching his head in between the wheel(no lugs nuts on) and the wheel well. The rear drum brake caught the truck and while I lifted up he was able to get his head out.He broke his jaw in two places and has a pretty beat up face.Today was not a good day.

OUCH....best of luck to him in recovery and sorry to hear that. On that note.....

***ALWAYS USE JACKSTANDS***

hope he is doing as well as one in that situation could, and let it be a lesson in safety...

always use the most precautions you can.

i'm sure it's a very scary thing to go through, and i bet he's glad he had a friend like you with him.

Wow, sorry to hear it. Hope he recovers well. Could happen to any of us. I'm extra cautious around the garage, I live with 3 females...lol

wahlstrom1-we are well aware of jack stand we always use them, they just weren't available at the time and we we're in a hurry to because he had to work.

baxtej44-I was scared shitless and thought for sure he was dead for a split second and then I helped him get out and called his parents while he spit up lots of blood.

damn hope hes ok ... mistakes happen ..:beer: hope he gets better

:worthless:

:icon_surprised:

I guess my paranoia about having my truck smack me around when working in the fender area is justified.

Hope he has a speedy recovery!

wow. he is lucky it isnt worse. lets hope he gets better soon

Wow...just...wow...

Glad Adam made it out of that one...scary stuff...he should buy African lottery ticket...

wow... thats crazy! I hope the best for him........... one good thing about it... He wont be able to to eat for 1 1/2 -2 months, so bring on the weight loss!

I broke my jaw in high school and had my jaw wired shut for 2 months. I was at 135 LBS and dropped to 111 LBS.... I had no fat to begin with....

good to hear he got outta there best of luck to him.

Had the truck fallen another half an inch I would be explaining to his parents what happened right now instead of him,had the truck not been lifted,I would have once again been explaining to his parents what happened.

wow thats one thing I always fear when working under any vehicle, even when I use jackstands.

amazing he survived. best of luck for a speedy recovery :icon_cheers:

Haste is the mother of many injuries

Glad he's "ok" as things go.

I'll bet he's glad that you didn't take the time to take a
pic before extracting him...

Ok since he survived and after he recovers we can suggest he
change his user name to "Bumpstop", "a guy who really knows
how to use his head"

Or is it too soon for me to suggest that?

I've had a couple of "distracted moments" that almost cost me body parts that are handy to have around...

I've almost lost both pinkie fingers on different occasions
I almost lost my right ring finger almost 30years ago
(My whole right arm swelled up from that one)

I had a friend pull an axle shaft that I had standing upright in a wheel (where it was safe) to take a look at it set it back down on the concrete floor THEN knock it over so it broke several toes.
(He hasn't set foot in my garage since, because I have an axle shaft waiting for him:)

there was the time I learned that you don't wrap your thumbs around the steering wheel when wheeling... because after taking a rock the wrong way something went inside the steering box and the steering wheel spun violently and dislocated both thumbs....

there was a time when I thought an "old guy" saying "if you are over 40 and you wake up and nothing hurts it's because you're dead" was funny and that he was making a joke.

I ain't laughing now.
It wasn't a joke.
