Why are you stuck on nitto???
You've got a 16" rim right? Ever thought about going to a metric size? like a 305/75R16 or a 295/70 or something similar to a 33x12.50?
Believe me...just that one or two inches of width difference, changes the attitude of the truck soooo much. 14.50 on a 98+ ranger with only bodylift = no bueno. Much too wide. 12.50 on 10" for me being double lifted rubs occasionally.
35's w/o gear change is dumb for a DD imo...even if i ran it at one point with just a bodylift. Stuffed tires, greatly additional wear on your trans or your clutch, with a manual, they tend to feel the tires ALOT worse than an auto. I've got two friends that had autos and 35's without a gear change. One had 3.73's, his trans was rebuilt before the 35's, lasted him only about 10k. The other, had 4.10s, his trans lasted him 15k before showing bad signs. Both swapped to a manual and both have yet to change gears. They wonder why I spent the money. Their day will come again...
