Yes folks, we have an author on staff.

I've heard Will mention in the past that he was writing a book, but didn't know much about it. I have read some of his stories that he's written for TRS and have to admit he has quite a talent for writing.

Will has recently had his book 'The Treehouse Voyage' published.

Description:

In a crude vessel that began as a project for a friend, George finds himself on a voyage around the world. Made of nothing but the materials it would take to build a good tree house, his boat challenges his skill and ingenuity as he struggles to keep it afloat and moving. As if the awkward boat weren't enough of a problem, George also faces off against the forces of man as wars, piracy, bureaucracy and worst of all, the wiles of a beautiful movie star, seek to waylay him.

The book can be found at Amazon HERE and at createspace HERE.

It's not every day someone you know publishes a book, so I thought I would share it here in the Entertainment Forum.

I grew up a military brat and liked the bouncing around so much that I enlisted in the Marines two days after my 17th birthday. I never added up my credits, but I believe it's possible the high school fudged their calculations to ensure I made the bus out of town. I look back on those days, and I can't remember them. I served my country in the air, on land and sea for the next ten years in the field artillery and as an embassy guard. It was in West Africa that I began to love boats, spending much of my free time in the detachment's rubber Zodiac. After leaving the service I killed a year in an aviation maintenance school, and in my free time started drawing boats and collecting books about them. I spent the next several years studying through Westlawn School of Yacht Design until an onslaught of children finally drove me both out of my space and my mind. Since then, I've been building boats and bouncing in and out of community college. I learned in writing classes that I appear to have some skills in that area, so I've been working on it ever since. I think you'll find anything I do to be imaginitive and completely new. I enjoy rereading my stories and I hope you will too.

He's sporting the TRS shirt in the pic too! Congratulations Will.

Thats pretty cool. Grats Will.

TRS shirt, awesome. Congrats Will!

Will, Teffie says congratulations and wants to know how it was to deal with createspace

Wow...congrats!

I'm gonna have to see if I can find a copy...and I want an autograph...well, after I read it...lol...

Yeah, stole that from TRS' main page. I need a better picture. I look more like a bouncer in a roadhouse than a person that can attach sentences together.

BDAB--with CreateSpace you need a completely published book in PDF format before you go there. They only print.

I'd be glad to hear anyone's opinion, good or bad. And I wouldn't mind suggestions for the next one. I'm already thinking sequel.

I finally got my website sort of done if you want to read up a little on what it's about. Well, half of what it's about. You have to have a story to go along with your real point.

The boats you have built look awesome. The website background is really cool as well.

congrats on the book!!! and awesome website!! really cool boats u have there, but whats best for me is the school bus project, thats just awesome!! u know as a kid i always thought about something like that, even today that idea croses my mind when i see those Ford F-series buses lol.

a couple of guys around here converted school buses into bars, they were some cool rides, u rented em and they gave u a tour around the city while u had a party on wheels, pretty crazy.
shame i dont have pics.

again, congratulations and keep up the amazing proyects man!:icon_cheers:

Thanks! The backgrounds are pieces of some of my designs. I do the hulls on vellum and then type the offsets into Autosketch and use that for the rest of the design.

The bus is a lot of fun. I want to put a platform on top next. Hang out up there at campgrounds leering down at the girls that walk by.:D I mean, store stuff up there too, kayaks and bikes and stuff.

i'm only about 40 pages in so far, but i'm enjoying it

for the next one make the font bigger, you're making me feel old :)
