ok more to add to my brain. i went out wheelin today and noticed my weak point is articulation in front. i know i need longer radius arms (build them later) but as far as lift... i was thinkin of sellin off my SL 5.5" coils (before they break in) to get some XJ coils. i wanna keep the same amount of lift, but add a lot of articulation in front. then later i'll add to the rear.

i'm focused on flex, as well as streetability, so i may drop down to 4" lift for steering purposes. would i have to put the springs back under the axle out back?

I say build the longer radius arms and keep the superlift coils, and spend the money you were gonna spend on xj coils and put it towards a superrunner steering setup.

Shackle flip?

??? seems like a moot point.

i think i may get a longer pitman for my steering. i really don't like my superlift coils because of how stiff they are. in those pics ^^^ you can see i don't have much up travel or down travel although i got a long ways to go before i hit bumps.

You will have to drop down to a 4 inch lift and put limiting straps on the front end to prevent the steering from binding up if you decide to run XJ coils. I know my 18 inch Rancho XJ coils flexed VERY well and worked great with my Rancho 2.5 inch lift brackets and extended radius arms but I should of had some sort of limiting strap for the road because it was a hairy ride. I have entertained running the 23inch XJ coils I have on my 92 4dr explorer but I refuse to do it before I get a trailer to tow me to and from wheeling locations. You might be able to drop down to the 4 inch holes in your brackets after a few thousand miles and still be able to align it.

If you do run the XJ coils, I would also definitely run at least a front sway bar. I do on mine with the SJ coils and it's still feels kinda tippy at times.

Yea, No sway bar was on the b2 front or rear......

We will see how the Exploder does with stock Superlift coils. I have some 23 inch ZJ or XJ coils on the shelf if I decide my safety is worth the suspension travel.

need some criticism...

would this work for extended arms?

it'd give a lot of flex by using heims or johnny joints, adjustability to center axle in wheel well and caster angle too. let me know your thoughts on it.

ok instead of that i decided to do the easy way. i'll be gettin 3 feet of 2" .25 wall dom and cuttin the thread plug out of the stock arms to extend mine. the same way blackbII, 4x4 junkie, todd and a few others have done. i wanna extend mine to maybe 18" since i have no tranny x-member holdin me up. tips tricks help?

Sunk- i am currently runnin my front sway bar cuz mine is really tippy... i unlock it when i air down offroad...
