'Bout damn time you park that thing and get some work done on it. I wish I could do that with mine. I need to be able to drive it though. I'll lend a hand or two, but remember...the D35 and 8.8 are mine! I called them fair and square.

We need one last trip before it goes under the knife!

I gutted mine. The exhaust doesn't sound any different than it did before tone-wise. Just a little louder. Even if they did sound bad I'd take the hit there for the extra performance over them plugged as they were before.

it has 3.50 gears and will be ran leaf sprung over.

I wouldn't suggest trying to make leaf springs work with that axle. Welding to those cast c-bushings is going to be a bit technical.

Make sure you do not try to remove the c-wedges as there is no axle tube underneath them. If you try to cut them your will ruin the axle.
 
my buddy is gonna help me set my springs up like we did his on his old school datsun mini thats netting 18" of lift running 49" Iroks

well since this was ended i bought a ford 9" out of a 1979 f150, and i also got the radius arms for my dana 44.

i plan on using early bronco 5.5" coils with f250 shock mounts and some external reservoir shocks. the steering will be 1.5" round tube and 3/4" heim joints from speedway motors. i'm gonna run the drag link over to the passenger side and weld it to the tie rod. all my steering is gonna be heim jointed.

then my radius arms will be extended about 4-6" to run heim joints and jam nuts.i may wrist the passenger side, still deciding on that part.

the rear end will be runnin a set of ranger/explorer leaf packs that are mainly explorer leaves except for maybe 2 ranger leaves to add height. i'll also be running the z box shackles from tera flex.

so i ended up trading both axles for

superlift 5.5 lift kit
extended superlift arms
full set of infinity speakers and tweeters
stock jbl sub/amp setup
shackles
3.73 gears for front and rear

so i decided i am gonna run the lift and find some extra ttb beams and bend them up 4", run the 4" drop brackets, and a 8" skyjacker coil, along with the extended arms that will be heim jointed.

the rear will be a soa with 63" chevy leaves

yeah i hope it turns out as good as it sounds. i don't know why but its hard to find money anymore... maybe its cuz i'm unemployed now....
